Emerging artist Turbo grew up on country thanks mainly to his father, but felt drawn toward rap music and obscure electronic genres like hardstyle, the fusion of techno and hardcore. At the age of 12, he started making his own music, a move heavily inspired by Avicii’s progressive-house classic “LE7ELS."
Today, Turbo is nostalgic in his latest single “18,” out now via Internet Money Records. The newest single shows Turbo moving away from the dancefloor-ready beats seen his past two singles “Bo Exotic” and “Racing After Me” as he sings of teenage love lost. Referencing the cult classic, Back To The Future, “18” closes out an incredible summer for the new artist. With his past three singles amassing over 1,900,000 streams globally and praise from outlets like Lyrical Lemonade and Ones to Watch, Turbo proves this is just the beginning.
