Fans have been clamoring for a Tyler the Creator and A$AP Rocky joint project for years now. Aside from coming up in similar collective-based formats and retaining characteristics of each other’s styles, the two have built a relationship over the years that comes across as genuine camaraderie. Collaborations like “Who Dat Boy” and “Potato Salad (Freestyle)” were the proof in the pudding. After Rocky stoked the fires of rumor by teasing to Angie Martinez that he was working with Tyler on something new, perhaps a mixtape, Tyler took to Twitter to let everyone know that there wasn’t anything in the works.

“I wish rocky would shut the fuck up and stop always saying what he’s working on 40 years before its even a fleshed out idea,” Tyler wrote on Twitter today. “with that said, again, don’t get your hopes up and be ‘disappointed’ because something that doesn’t really exist didn’t come out. that shit don’t exist yall =)” A$AP Rocky has yet to respond.

After “Potato Salad” released last year and Rocky teased their collaboration WANG$AP, Tyler let out a similar outburst on Twitter. “Ima kill rocky for that idk what’s coming soon or not don’t get yo hopes up nigga just be excited but enjoy it,” he tweeted then.

It looks like now, we wait.
