Nashville rapper TeamLilStraw has been taking great strides in recent releases, setting his hometown’s streets on fire with his memorable bangers “Extra” and “John Wick” but the young talent recently revealed a new sonic dimension with his latest video for “Flatline.” Straw’s raw flow and distinct southern drawl are on full display here and he creates utter chaos with his wild delivery and impassioned ad-libs. I hate comparing artists to other creators, but TeamLilStraw reminds me so much of a 2019 version of Soulja Slim and Straw has all of the necessary talent and charisma to be the next big rapper to become the face of the youth in his city.
