Originally when T.Y. The Great sent me this project when it released I told him I wasn’t feeling it and passed on a post. He took it maturely and respectfully which put the idea in my mind that he definitely has the personality it takes to really make it in this industry. If you don’t already know, T.Y. is a member of FontsNation who recently put together a very lit party/event under the name “Wya Match?” and I was invited by one of their members/affiliates to come out and shoot an event recap. I met T.Y. in person for the first time there and was impressed with his overall demeanor and the way he carried himself. I decided to give his project LUCY another chance because in the back of my mind I knew I was sleeping on this project, and I was right. After re-listening to LUCY, I kept my ears wide open and really interpreted and evaluated the lyricism and concepts throughout the project and was truly awakened to how dope they were. Not to mention the abstract production laced through the entire duration of the album is impressive to say the least. Don’t sleep on T.Y. like I did and press play below.
