Since 2019 has begun, Upland native, BBKnight has been on an absolute warpath. Releasing banger after banger — one of which included a Juice WRLD collaboration — the rising star has been getting the industry prepped for his first mixtape release. Realizing his moment, he drops his anticipated new project, (B)Beautiful Knight.
Locked in at 8-tracks, the project is short in length, clocking in at around 18 minutes. For some artists, this isn’t enough time to showcase their skill, but for Knight, it’s just enough. Bringing along only one feature — fellow BB member, BBKoat — Knight proves that he can stand on his own two feet on this one, showcasing a new flow, broader confidence and a more polished approach.
Officially introducing his signature, ‘R&Juug’ style to the culture, Knight utilizes the sound to help further his agenda. For new fans, R&Juug is a uniquely gentle and passionate genre that highlights things like lust, honesty (to a certain degree) and a bit of finesse, all wrapped up in an auto-tuned package with dreads and YSL drip. In short, imagine Young Thug writing a love song for Keith Sweat that included a Drakeo the Ruler feature at the end.
