There’s an influx of young, potential-rich artists these days, and the latest making another (good) impression on us is Anna Sofia, a fifteen-year-old from Ontario, Canada, who is making her debut with “Meaner Girl.”
Citing influences such as ’70s and ’80s music but also electronic and hip-hop, Sofia brings to the table a lot of ideas, and, here, she elects to take a lo-fi, indie route on the track. It makes for an honest, breezy affair, and you’ll love just floating away to it.
As this is Sofia’s debut, we can certainly expect a lot more from her, but, for now, we’ll relax to “Meaner Girl” here.
