Oakland rapper Offset Jim is back with a ridiculously hard new track titled “Bumpered Down.” The bouncy Bay Area instrumental was crafted by Drew Banga, and it was quite possibly the perfect beat for Offset Jim to get off on. Jim’s delivery is very solid and his lyrics and punchlines consistently hit. Each bar is particularly hard for different reasons, rather it be a witty line or some streetwise attack at one of his rivals. At one point I thought the song was over and the instrumental was going to ride out, but Jim went right back in, which I really appreciate as more and more rappers are cutting their verses shorter and shorter. “Bumpered Down” is definitely going to be heard all over Oakland and rightfully so. This shit goes crazy.
