Mysterious, enigmatic acts are nothing new in the music industry, but, despite that, their allure remains. Masked UK band The Hour has harnessed this intrigue, and, already having released a solid pair of singles in 2019, they’ve now released their debut project, Mother.

Containing those previously released tracks and four new ones, also, the project takes on a slightly familiar, yet overwhelmingly fresh vibe. Sonically, the material is a blend of (mostly) indie and alternative genres, but there are emotion and melody flowing through that’s rare.

Although you can pick and choose singles to listen to, this work is one you’ll want to listen to all the way through. The Hour is a statement band of sorts, and, ingested wholly, this project will leave a lasting impression, for sure. Get listening, therefore, and watch for more from them this year.
