Born in Seoul, South Korea, and then moving to Maryland at the age of six, REI AMI was able to experience an infusion of cultures the way few have. Couple that with strict, religious parents, and a recipe for REI’s rebellious, haunting music was had.

Today, we are receiving a new single from the artist (her first appears to have released just days ago), and dark and knocking, it provides an intriguing vibe. This sounds like Halloween music for hip people, and its sinister, whispery nature reminds us of Billie Eilish. Tons of angst is sewn into this one, and an inspection of the lyrics reveals the pent-up thoughts REI has held inside.
