Simma down.

A forgotten favorite of mine, Marc E. Bassy, dropped a visual for his song, “Simma.” This track appears on his latest project, Postmodern Depression, and of course it’s a bop. I remember back in high school learning his whole discography and trying to put my friends on, but they weren’t trying to hear it. It was their loss though because the Bay Area singer has a couple of projects under his belt and has only produced gems since his start.

“Simma” finds Marc rapping more than usual and playing with his singing range. However, this experimentation is balanced because of his smooth vocal tone.

I must say, Marc is severely slept on and Y’all need to wake up. Last fall, he dropped his debut album, Gossip Columns, with features from Kehlani and YG to name a few. The singer has since dropped a few singles and his latest EP, Postmodern Depression, released back in October. Marc toured with KYLE in the latter half of last year and is slated to embark on a tour with Jon Bellion this summer.
