Fifteen year old prodigy Oso Wavey Jay has a new EP that is aptly titled “School Boy Jay,” and unlike many American teenage phenoms, Jay is rooted in lyricism and greatly technically abled as an MC. This skillset is evident all over the new offering and because of this he is becoming more and more of a household name in the UK. The production on the EP is solid, but presents nothing too challenging and allows Jay to do whatever he wants on the beat and get all of his unique flows off. The lone feature comes from fellow UK rapper Arz, and he does very well on his hook on the track “I Spy.” I really liked what I heard from Jay on this extended play and I can’t wait to watch him grow as an artist.
