Hot off the recent street smash releases “Middle Man” and “Do Sum,” the 20 year-old Eritrean-Canadian artist from the downtown neighbourhood Bleecker Street is quickly becoming a breakthrough Toronto rap star.

Beginning the year with a celebratory note, “Job Done” the first single off LocoCity’s upcoming debut mixtape Save Yourself. The track is a departure from the gritty, brutalist high-rises of videos past and towards an aspirational future, lounging at his BLKZ estate. LocoCity’s latest release features vibrant production from Tilla Beats, alongside visuals directed by cinematographer Sonny Visual, who’s worked with numerous rising Toronto hip-hop acts.

Through just four surging street anthems, LocoCity has quickly gained a following due in part to his talent of merging impassioned, storytelling tales from the block with a surgical sonic style.

Save Yourself, the debut mixtape from LocoCity is set to release this Spring.
