Kodak Black was recently sentenced to one year in jail for a series of drug and weapon related charges. Accounting for time already served, the rapper could be released from prison as early as October.
In his most recent headline, the Broward County native announces a name change that was recently granted by a Florida judge. Kodak will now legally go by Bill K. Kapri, quite a transition from his original born-name of Dieuson Octave. Lawyer Bradford Cohen says the name change was intended to give Kodak a “fresh start” amidst all of his current troubles.
It should also be noted that Black has been cleared of all neglect charges following an investigation by child services.
