Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, 18-year-old rising star Kevin Powers has a special talent. Most artists show you their social media numbers and think that's what defines good music or "clout" but Kevin is the perfect example of how those numbers could be irrelevant at times. Kevin Powers has an angelic voice that he has mastered to mesh well over trap or pop sounding production. The independent artist has generated over 220K plays on his single "Misguided" which recently landed on the Spotify editorial playlist "Internet People" which has been curated by platinum producers Internet Money this time. His newest single "So What" features another buzzing North Carolina artist YSB Eli. The song carries an acoustic tune that sounds like it could be top 40 but also played throughout the underground scene. The single was produced by Whit Kane who is Kevin's go-to producer. Kevin is also shooting a video for this song which is releasing soon. The recent high school graduate is soon to break barriers with the sound he has established.
