It’s an ode to sex workers.

Kehlani is an unproblematic queen that we all love. Her sophomore album, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t, dropped in back in May. Upon release, we saw that she was one of few artists to lead a successful project rollout during the pandemic. This week, she dropped the music video for "Can I." It features Tory Lanez, however, the Toronto rapper doesn't make a cameo in the cut. It's an ode to sex workers, noting how the increased difficulty for those of color to flourish within the field. "honoring sex workers. uplifting their movement. that’s it," Kehlani took to Twitter.

Her decision to remove Tory Lanez arrives after numerous allegations and controversy surround Megan The Stallion. He was recently arrested for having a concealed firearm while she was rushed to the hospital for gunshot wounds. While the Internet only tells you certain parts of the story, we really won't know what happened during those events. Anyhow, Kehlani said she'll be releasing a remix of "Can I" with a completely different guest feature on her forthcoming deluxe project. In the mean, check out the quarantine-style video below.
