Greensboro, NC artist Jet Rogers links with Winston-Salem, NC visual artists RC Plus and Phanypaxk to drop off a spooky, surreal music video for "JET DARKO"
Coming through in a very well-rounded fashion, Jet Rogers brings us a distinctive visual for the opening track of his latest project JETFEST. "JET DARKO" is euphoric and electric, it has a wavy beat with crushing drums and this undeniably ominous feeling to it. The music video, created by RC Plus with an assist from Phanypaxk, perfectly brings that duality to life; enclosing a more high-energy, upbeat aura with the golf course shots, as well as this aforementioned ominous side which is portrayed through the scenes in the woods and the power plant. The creative choices in the video enhance this double-edged effect a lot as well via the colors, VFX, splices, etc.
On the cut, Jet energetically dives into his mentality and how he chooses to live his life; briefly sharing what he's learned through multiple experiences that he has lived. Whether it be staying focused on ascending, not trusting people too quickly, or dropping the top on the coupe, his flow and delivery are effortless. He also makes multiple references to Noriex Valley (hence the climbing lines🧗). Side note, I personally got to see him perform this song as well as some others from the album at a show in Boone, NC (In Tha Fest's Tiki Time show back in April) following its release, and it was a movie, to say the least.
