Global Dan switches up the vibe for his latest video “Dark Out.” The young hit maker is mostly known for his viral hit “Off-White,” which properly was repped by Virgil Abloh. Global Dan gave Off-White a happier, catchy vibe and it seemed like he was poised to toe the line between rap and radio hit. However with his latest release “Dark Out,” Dan finds a darker mood with en-vogue rock screams to power this song with the help of AzN.

The LouieKnows directed video paints Dan in a dark, neon-lit setting, helping to push the more emo undertones of the track into the visuals. The drawn out wails of both AzN and Dan through the song help push through that punk-emo flair, but Dan knows when to bounce it back to his rapid fire flow to keep the bounce going. The glitchy, neon heavy video gives it an entertaining edge, keeping viewers engaged even when the two women with anime masks are not in scene.

Global Dan clearly has hits on hits, and now with the visuals beginning to role out, he’s on the verge of becoming one of 2018’s biggest breakout acts.
