Lil Uzi Vert began his worldwide takeover in October 2015 with his breakout mixtape “LUV Is Rage” and has been on a roll ever since.

Over the course of the past few years, the Philadelphia rapper has dropped two complete projects and a plethora of loose singles, including his brand new masterpiece “XO Tour Lif3.” Undoubtably Uzi’s biggest and best track yet, the success of the TM88-produced joint has been hyping up the release of the forthcoming album tremendously.

Though we don’t have any specific details on when the project is to be released, Uzi and DJ Don Cannon have been slowly leaking more information about the album (and some fye snippets, too). Keep reading below to learn all there is to know about Lil Uzi Vert’s upcoming release “LUV Is Rage 2.”

 

1. The release is being held back by an “old person” in Uzi’s career. 

On April 1st Lil Uzi Vert tweeted:  “Can I honestly tell y’all why this album ain’t drop. It’s because of a Old Person who doesn’t Understand what’s going on right now……Can You Guess Who?” (since deleted).

Uzi followed these tweets up with a RT’ing a few fans who replied guessing the “old person” to be DJ Drama (see below).

 

 

 

2. The album is still in the process of being mixed and mastered.

Generation Now co-founder Don Cannon recently took to IG Live to announce the following…

“If you didn’t hear, “LUV Is Rage 2″ is not dropping no time soon. It’s not going to be a long time from now, but not within this month. We still working on the album, it’s a process. You got to make the album, mix the album, master the album & put it out. That takes time when you’re perfecting it.”

 

3. The album will feature a song from Uzi’s “rockband”.

The self-proclaimed “rockstar” is yet to drop a rock-n-roll track, but it looks like we’ll finally be gettin’ a different kid of head banger from the rapper on “LUV Is Rage 2.” Uzi is known for taking musical risks and I know this track will live up to its hype.
