The world almost stops every time a superstar such as Drake drops. That was pretty much the case upon the release of his new single and video “Laugh Now Cry Later,” which features Lil Durk. It will serve as the first single off of his forthcoming sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy.
The song is produced by Cardo and G. Ry amongst others. It's Drake's first release since July’s “Only You Freestyle,” a drill collaboration with Headie One that went viral on Twitter. Prior to that, he dropped Dark Lane Demo Tapes in May, a 14 tracks effort that boasts guest appearances from Giveon, Chris Brown, and Fivio Foreign to name a few.
"Tired of beefin' you bums, you can't even pay me enough to react / Been wakin' up in the crib and sometimes I don't even know where I'm at / Please don't play that nigga songs in this party, I can't even listen to that," Drake raps in the opening verse. Lil Durk comes in the latter of the song and kills it as he does each song. Throughout the video, athletes like Marshawn Lynch, Kevin Durant, and Odell Beckham Jr. make cameos.
Honestly, I can't wait to see what Drake has in store for us. Peep the video below.
