Don Toliver is one of those names that has been in my periphery for months but I hadn't yet committed to sitting down with, but now I'm very glad I did. He dropped his latest video for the single "What You Need" this week and the visuals are pretty crazy. Rappers like to describe their videos as "like a movie" when in reality it's someone sitting in a chair in front of Pro Tools waving money and blunts. 

This is not that.

 It's damn near really a movie. Shot in Columbia, the aerial shots set the tone for a video that pops the second Toliver is on the screen. The interludes, the track itself, even the acting is on point throughout. I wasn't sure what to expect like I mentioned before, but this one won me over and exceeded anything I thought I'd be getting into.
