First of all, I want to say rest in power to one of the greatest emcees this world has known. DMX shared a universal message of empathy and compassion through his lyricism and delivery which is uniquely his own. The 13-track album, Exodus is absolutely enthralling within the first 30 seconds. The opening track features THE LOX & Swizz Beatz - and that's just the first track! It's truly an album that any hip-hop head will appreciate. My personal favorite track is 'Bath Salts' Featuring JAY-Z & Nas; it's short and sweet but all three emcees go hard. When 'PRAYER' plays you notice yourself intently listening to his powerful voice as he speaks a beautiful prayer. As each song plays you connect with X's versatility at play; although the album is posthumous, it sounds more like a sonic celebration of his life. I encourage you to give it a listen.
