Having covered Jay Squared‘s The Squaredboy, we’ve been made familiar with the Detroit rapper’s smooth, low-key sound. Now, teaming up with Atlanta producer Meltycanon, we’re coming across it again, and, again, it doesn’t disappoint at all.
Leading off the second wave of the aforementioned project, “Enemies” starts humbly before blasting into banger territories, and its spacey, hazy qualities suit it well. This is cleanly constructed hip-hop, and it’s got us ready (already) to hear more.
