Honest, transparent, and authentic aren't words typically used to describe a recording artist these days - especially not a pop-leaning R&B singer; enter Carolina songwriter Byron Juane. The 23-year-old hopeless romantic has been making a name for himself since the age of four, resulting in an impressive back catalogue and a sync placement on NBA 2K's video game series.
Arriving just in time for cuffing season, Byron recently announced his upcoming EP Promise I'm Not Crazy. Set to drop next Friday, it's anchored by the project's latest single "Nice Guy." The follow up to his quarantine quickstrike "Afraid" serves as a preview of what critics can expect from the 5-cut collection of sounds and has already garnered thousands of streams. When asked about the track, he states "Nice Guy is the anthem for the person that love overlooks. I want people that listen to this not only relate but also to understand it won’t always be this way." Check it out below.
