It’s clear Mir Fontane has walked through the fire this year, and his latest “Made In Trauma” visual clearly personifies his treacherous battle — while also reaching new sonic highs.
Mir Fontane told Elevator “Made In Trauma” hones in on the painful details about his life and his loved ones since the tragic loss of Jose Morel, who was the CEO of the Southside of Jersey brand.
“‘Made in Trauma’ is a record I created to spill quick anecdotes of what’s been going on with me since the loss of a close friend,” he explained in an email. “The video depicts the battle between life and death, heaven and hell, the death and rebirth of my love for music. I have a bigger purpose now and it's only up from here.”
Blending Mir Fontane’s signature rap-sung delivery with the melodic and heavy piano rifts, “Made In Trauma” highlights his versatility and appeal all-in-one.
“But it’s made like Travis Woah/Metro I’m in Savage Mode/Who else you know mix the rap with the trap/Make it sound like a ballad though,” Mir Fontane raps over the explosive production.
Back in February, reports forms outlets such as The Source broke alleging Cardi B and her team of utilizing the chorus from Mir Fontane and Mir Pesos’ “Stuck” record for her multi-platinum “Up” single without authorization.
Since then, Mir Fontane has been working overtime in an effort to carve out his own lane, which resulted in his 14-track Melody Monster project and a host of singles and visuals.
