Last year, we were fortunate to witness the resurgence of Brooklyn rhymer, Jimi Tents. After taking a little bit of a hiatus to recalibrate his focus, Jimi then returned with his fiery Sophomore effort, Pyro, which spawned the single, “Backbone”. Capitalizing on the buzz from the record, the Vate Row team releases the cinematic new visual for the record.
Directed by ZelTheGoat, the video follows the journey of a troubled man, obviously on a revenge tour. Soundtracked to, “Backbone,” you follow actor, Kyle Ullsperger on his tour of duty, where he murders a father and a homeless man at different times, both for seemingly vague reasons. With frequent pans to Jimi out of the scene, looking like the coolest narrator of all time, the video then culminates with Jimi leaving a courthouse, only to be met by Kyle, who he gifts a police badge.
Check out the video for, “Backbone” above and be sure to stream Pyro, now. Available on all platforms.
