dive into the indie folk band’s most forthcoming body of work to date

For those of you who don’t know (sadly I’m sure a large portion of our readers do NOT) Bon Iver is an American indie folk band founded in 2006 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon. Vernon released Bon Iver’s debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago, independently in July 2007. The majority of that album was recorded while Vernon spent three months isolated in a cabin in northwestern Wisconsin. Fast-forward, and Bon Iver has dropped a new project titled i,i. This project marks their forth studio album to date, and with its release we receive 13 new songs. The project travels through valleys and peeks, highs and lows, pushing sonic boundaries and blending genres at each change up and progression. The seamless transitions between production styles really are spectacular, managing to never stray too far form the intended vibe of the album, while still allowing an array of diverse instrumentation. You can purchase your copy via iTunes and listen  to the emotive new album below.
