Detroit has been on fire.

Baby Smoove returns with visuals to his track titled, “On The Flo” from his previous project, Mr. Perfect. The track itself is one of my favorites off of the project so I am glad he brought it to life in this video. Smoove hops on a fairly tranquil instrumental provided by Topside and the beat is driven by a soft guitar-esque melody with some 808s dropped in and the final sound is amazing. Smoove provides his hazy flow which starts off with, “this cookie so strong I don’t think I can face it” and the cadence of his wavy delivery sounds like he’s always smoking regardless.

The clean-cut visuals were executed by Vuhlandes as he spotlights Smoove flowing to the camera in an equally laid-back feel in the video as there was in the song. Smoove offers a little a surprise in the middle of his video as there is a break around 50 seconds in where it suddenly flashes to Smoove sitting out on the balcony. He proceeds to tease a song titled, “Pink Monty”, which is produced by Rocaine, and it goes on for the next minute of the video, which certainly caught me off guard, but nonetheless an intriguing way to preview future songs. Baby Smoove is continuing to apply pressure so keep your eye on him and his future moves.

Enjoy “On the Flo” below.
