New York indie rocker Aaron Taos makes his ways back to the Elevator pages with his latest birthday gift to himself, aptly titled Birthday Boy LP. Aaron has been making some of his best music to date, and Birthday Boy goes that one step further with a plethora of layers throughout the 10-track LP. Parts of bedroom pop, electronic, and indie rock swirl around some key features to round out Aaron’s stream of consciousness as he reminisces on his previous year of life.
Birthday Boy is highlighted by his previously released single, “Control”, which made its way on our pages with its surrealist music video, and Aaron calls on some of his rap-adjacent collaborators to keep the project moving at a good pace. Tedy Brewski, Lord Felix, and Khary all add their own personal flairs to the project and keep things personal and introspective, as most of Aaron’s music tends to lean.
Aaron’s songwriting is true to himself, and the new voices he brought in with this project followed suit. It wouldn’t be a crazy prediction if we saw Aaron hit a crazy Spotify jetstream at some point in the near future, so catch on now!
